Christmas Bazaar
This is one of School Council’s favourite traditions — the ÉGSS Christmas Bazaar!
This special event gives every student the chance to shop for meaningful gifts for their family, have them wrapped with care, and take them home to place under the tree.
To make this wonderful day possible, we need your help!
Donations Needed
We’ll start collecting gently used or new items on Monday, November 24th and continue through Friday, December 5th.
Please send donations to your child’s classroom or drop them off in the front seating area near the main doors.
We especially need:
- Gifts for dads and older brothers: tools, mugs, sports gear, books, socks, BBQ items, puzzles, flashlights, treats, etc.
- Gifts for moms and sisters: candles, scarves, jewelry, mugs, lotions, picture frames, hair accessories, notebooks, etc.
- For all ages: toys, games, puzzles, books, crafts, school supplies, and small holiday decorations
- Wrapping supplies: gift bags, wrapping paper, tissue, tape, bows, and tags
- Reusable shopping bags for students to carry their gifts home
Please try to send at least as many items as your child will purchase — this helps keep the tables full for everyone. All leftover items will be donated to local thrift stores.
Shopping Day Details
- Each gift costs $1, and no student will be turned away.
- Students will shop only for immediate family members in their household (no pets, please).
- Please fill out and return the shopping list form to your teacher with $1 per person by Wednesday, December 3rd.
Volunteers Needed
This event depends on our amazing volunteers! We need help with:
Collecting and moving donations
- December 2, 4, & 5
- Items will need to be moved from classrooms and the foyer into a storage area
Set-up
- Sunday, December 7 from 1–4pm
- Volunteers will help move the items from storage to the gym and set them up on the tables in different categories
Shopping Day
- Monday, December 8, various shifts between 8:15am-3:00pm
- Volunteers needed for wrapping gifts, restocking tables, and assisting shoppers
Clean-up & Thrift Store Runs
- Monday, December 8 @ 3:00pm
- Packing and dropping off leftover items
